Classic Rock Genre

Electric Gypsies consider themselves as a classical rock band.

Classic Rock music is a genre of popular music that first entered the mainstream in the 1960s. But it dates all the way back to the 1940s and 1950s. The sound of rock revolves around the electric guitar, bass guitar and drums. Classic Rock has sustained popularity. But it is usually older songs that are thriving. Classic Rock introduced the idea that you could stay relevant forever without having new songs. Songs such as:

Stairway to Heaven(1971) - Led Zeppelin

Bohemian Rhapsody(1975) - Queen

Don’t Stop Believin’ (1981) - Journey

Sweet Child O’ Mine (1987) - Guns N’ Roses

And many more…

A common rock gesture is described as the infamous “devil horns” (seen below). Ronnie James Dio was known for popularizing the gesture on stage circa 1979.  Decades later, the gesture turned into a mainstream way of saying “Rock on,” or “Good Times.” Nowadays, it is
still use in the same way.
