Editing Process
Hello friends! So we have started the editing process. The band record the songs themselves and sent it to us. At first, I was scared that they were doing that themselves but I have got to say that they did a great job. For it being their first time recording a song, the track sounds very good and it will work perfectly for the video.
So we are editing in the application, iMovie, in a Mac. Fortunately, the computer had enough space for the videos... another fear I had jajajajaj. Anyways, the editing process is coming along. We are having trouble matching the singing and instruments with the track. Especially since we filmed before the band was able to record the track. As a result, when we were filming they did not have any particular pace or indication as to how fast or slow it should be plays. However, we tried to fix this by using a metronome. A metronome is a device used by musicians that marks time at a selected rate by giving a regular tick. So with this the band tried to record the track at the same rhythm that it was being played in the footage we filmed. They did a fairly good job, but it is very hard to match the video and audio together perfectly. BUT we are trying!! Don't give up hope on us yet. And as always, I will let you all know how it is going.
Love,
SABRI
