More on the editing process

The video is coming along. So the track is almost 4 minutes...exactly 3:47. We are aware that it is long so we are using a lot of footage trying to make it entertaining. We are focusing on tight editing, as we know that watching someone playing the guitar or the drums might get boring after a while. Also, we are editing our footage to have a vintage feel. We are deciding to do this because after all it is a classic rock song and by introducing that vintage feel, it is creating that rock look. We are creating that look by lowering the brightness, increasing the saturation and using one of the already made filters in iMovie. Below you can see a before and after.


IDEA... While I was writing this post, a lightbulb just went on. Soooo... The video is a cover song, a song that is by Jimi Hendrix. So would it look or be cool to insert a few clips of Jimi Hendrix performing this same song? Of course, I would have to keep the clips under 5 seconds to not get copyrighted... I need to research this more to see if I could do it. But it is just an idea. Might not happen. You guys will know soon.
