Idea for music video
Helloo!
As I was sitting in my bed last night, I began to look at music videos from rock bands. I came across the music video for the song, Can't Stop, by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Immediately, I was intrigued as the video was not the usual storytelling video. The video did show the band singing and playing but it cut to shots of the band members just being themselves, acting weird, and having fun. What I loved about it was that the audience could instantly see the personality of the band.
A website said the following: “It’s the pulse of the general public that decides what content goes viral.” Electric Gypsies is a new band. The people do not know who they are, what they are trying to promote, or what they want. Creating a video that allows the band to show their personality will allow their music to directly connect with the listeners. By doing so, the band will be also creating that sense of community, as to where the audience feels as if they know them. The music video, their first music video, is the perfect opportunity to show the world who Electric Gypsies is. However, it is only an idea. Mariana and I will still need to ask the band what they would like, either this or a storytelling video. So, when we meet with the band on Friday, I will create a blog post about it.
