Website research

The band’s website needs to be very attractive and functional. The creation of the website will make the band seem more professional as well as creates a single domain where the fans know where to find them.
The website creates first impressions as well as the band’s reputation. Having a good theme that captures the bands vibe, will enhance the band’s brand.

The website should have:

1) Home page - It is important as this is the first page that people will see. The page should have important links and an attractive theme.

2) About page - This is where the audience can connect with the band. Here, the fans can learn a little bit more about the band and feel as if they know them better. Creating a better relationship between the fans and the band.
Suggestion: I will have to talk to my partner to see what she thinks of this but I thought that the
about page could have a bio of the each member of the band plus a bio for the entire band itself. I
think it will be a great way for the fans to get more personal with the band and really form that
   connection.

3) Gallery page - In this section, a few pictures from the band could be shared with the fans.
Limitations: I would love to do this but we do not have enough pictures as of now to
create a very appealing gallery page. But we’ll see what we can do.

4) Contact page - It is a very common aspect of a website. It allows people to contact the artist for bookings. As well as, for receiving fan mail.

5) Shop page- In our case, our band is not well-known so there would not be any merchandise being sold. At least at this early stage. Later on, a shopping page would be a great addition to the website.

Overall, the website needs to have a clean layout that is easy to navigate through. The entire website’s colors should work well with the band’s brand. And the best result is to stick to 3 colors to create cohesiveness. Furthermore, the text on the website needs to be easy to read and consistent throughout. Choose a font that is attractive and legible.
