Meeting with Electric Gypsies!

Friday was very productive. Mariana and I met with the band and talked a lot. The main reason for the meeting was to finalized the dates that we will be filming, talk about the band's branding, and the idea for the music video. So let's go in order:

Dates:
We are planning on filming Sunday 17th and Thursday 21st. Hopefully nothing goes wrong and we film those days. Also, if we need to film after those days, we have 4 more weeks to get more footage if needed.

Branding:
Mariana and I got a feel of what this band is looking for. They are a classic rock band who want to be described as entertaining, energetic.

We ask the band members to describe the personality of the other members to see the dynamic of the band. It looks like the band has different personalities and is very whole.
Joaquin: energetic, bossy, show off, initiative
Igor: crazy, carefree
Alexis: cares about music, minimalistic, the glue
Caio: quiet, aloof, doesn’t like to show off, humble, detailed
Lucas: reckless, chill, outgoing

By knowing each of their personalities, it will help us figure out the style of each and how we can create a cohesive style for the entire band. Also, we learned some of the bands that each of them like. By doing so, we could take inspiration from them and see how we can create this band. 

Joaquin: Greta Van Fleet, Red Hot Chili Pepper, Queen
Lucas: Queen
Alexis: John Mayer, Rush
Igor: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix 

Caio was not at the meeting

Unfortunately, there are a lot of artists and only one is shared between two band members. But either way, this gives us an idea of who they take inspiration from and it can help us too.

- To expand and create a definite brand, Mariana and I will be creating a brand identity prism. Which will be another post.

The music video:

We talked to the band about creating a music that showcased their personality. They were in favor of it. Therefore, we will also be creating a storyboard for the following week for the music video. Hopefully, it comes out great. We will be posting the storyboard sometime next week.
